Ts. Dr. Yusri is now a Coordinator for CoE Centre for Technopreneurship Development and Senior lecturer and Head of Department, Technology Management in Faculty of Technology Management and Technopreneurship (FPTT), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. In total, he has accumulated about 20 years of working experience after Bachelor’s degree in 1995. His most recent professional job was a Consultant in Jamal, Amin & Partners in 2007. During his private sector sector experience, Dr. Yusri had worked under supervision of MACPA and MIA certified accountant based on the high professionalism expectation. In all, he had served and contributed knowledge and experience in a few public listed and private companies in the field of accounting, finance, audit and management. In addition, he had operated his own IT services on part-time basis since 1997. He is also active in social works.
While working in Kulliyyah of Information and Communication Technology (KICT) and during his PhD candidature, he was appointed as research officer, graduate research officer and associate researcher under research grants of Associate Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Ahlan in Department of Information System, KICT, International Islamic University Malaysia. He helped preparing and securing new research grants and also organised and developed relationship with industries and non-academia.
The FRGS project on IT outsourcing had won a few gold awards and best project award for Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) project at Kulliyyah and FRGS cycle 1 levels. He has been to many seminars, discussions, meetings, conferences, colloquiums and others during the doctoral and research assistant candidature.
In addition, he has also taught information technology, internet applications and management information system subjects during his PhD candidature. His PhD research focused on IT outsourcing decisions and implementations in Malaysia public healthcare sector using qualitative approach.
He was also involved in system development projects since 2004 when he was the Chief Business Development for a MSC-status company developing Human Resources Management systems either as a stand-alone or web-based application. He was also engaged as a consultant in IT audit and assessment for SOX compliance reporting in the biggest telecommunication organisation in Saudi Arabia in 2007.
He holds an MSc IT degree and is familiar with system development methodologies, tools and project management. Moreover, he also holds Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and Microsoft Application Developer (MCAD) certificate since 2007.

On an applied level, human computer interaction, project management, security and risk, various aspects of managing the relationship between IT/IS and the organisation, in particular IT management, IT outsourcing, managing the IS functions, IT/IS security, audit and governance, ICT policies, guidelines, standards and regulations and benchmarking.
On a more abstract level, the philosophy, ontology and epistemology of science and art knowledge.
